I'm a professional singer, actress, model and business consultant who is extremely fortunate to enjoy a dynamic performance career while living a comfortable lifestyle. For years I've had various friends and colleagues tell me that I should write a book to help others navigate the business and financial sides of their lives and careers. Although I recognized the value of putting things in writing, I wasn't entirely comfortable with a format that would be out-dated before it even went to print, or wouldn't have room to include smaller, but nonetheless important topics. And so this blog was born!
You see, I'm the kind of person who actually enjoys learning about things like tax code changes and the magic of compounding interest and spends considerable time thinking about how they can work to my advantage. I've also been pretty fortunate to work with some rather prestigious places companies over the years - Disney, Lincoln Center, Merrill Lynch, Northwestern Mutual, UPenn and Johns Hopkins University - as well as countless other artists, artisans and small business owners.
I've gained a lot of essential knowledge, as well as a ton of really great experience, and now I want to share it with YOU. Together, I firmly believe we can eradicate the cliché of the starving artist and replace it with a culture of strong, creative businesspeople whose trade happens to be the invocation of the sublime.
